It’s squeaky bum time at the Aura Leisure Centre as the marathon count enters its final stages.
Both Charlie McConalogue and Pearse Doherty are now assured of their seats in the five-seater constituency.
And with both Pat The Cope Gallagher and Joe McHugh almost certain to take the next two seats, the last seat is up for grabs.
It’s a neck and neck race between Independent Thomas Pringle and Sinn Fein’s Padraig MacLochlainn.
Both sets of supporters are expressing confidence that they have done enough to secure the seat with so little between the two.
It looks like Inishowen man MacLochlainn has the upper hand thanks to a huge transfer of almost 2,000 votes from running mate Pearse Doherty’s surplus vote.
It’s hugely tense here at the Aura but all will be revealed shortly.
