DONEGAL Senior Ladies had a good win in their Lidl Division 2 clash with Meath in Trim today.
Donegal dominated the first half hitting 13 scores – but Meath gave the home side some hope with goals from Kate Byrne, Ailbhe McHugh and Vikki Wall.
The half-time score of Meath 3-03, Donegal 1-12 – a three point margin – wasn’t a fair reflection of events.
But Donegal were able to find the back of net in the second half through Roisin Friel and Eilish Ward.
Despite seeing Karen Guthrie sin-binned they were able to run out easy winners in the end on a scoreline of 3-17 to 3-08.
