GENERAL ELECTION: Independent candidate Frank McBrearty has issued a rallying cry to the Donegal electorate ahead of tomorrow’s General Election.
McBrearty has urged the electorate not to vote for politicians who are out for themselves in the upcoming elections.
McBrearty said the efforts to move the county forward have failed since there is an excessive biased politics that is manipulated by those who hold power.
McBrearty told Donegal Daily, “Ask yourself if this or that candidate is for unity, if they are standing up for the people of Donegal.
“If not, then don’t vote for him or her. We can’t have stability if the government is filled with politicians who divide the people for the sake of their own personal agenda or gain,”
“In Donegal we are hindered by too much politicking of government officials promoting their interests and the interests of their party mates, friends, close associates and relatives.
McBrearty is renowned for his stance against corruption both inside and outside of the Donegal County Council.
He is also known for his commitment to making change in Donegal, evidenced by the local issues he has already championed.
McBrearty hopes the people of Donegal make the right choice on Friday and vote for someone who will fight for their right to a fair government that actually deals with issues that are important to Donegal.
“To name but a few problem, The infrastructure is awful; corruption persists, rates are too high, the unemployment rate is high, agriculture is neglected, the housing program is a failure; the educational system is not at par with our neighbouring counties.”
“We know the solutions to these but we can only solve them if we elect candidates who are willing to fight for change” he added.
