SINN FEIN deputy Padraig Mac Lochlainn may not retain his seat in the general election, if a poll commissioned by TG4 tonight is to be believed.
The MRBI poll says Pearse Doherty will keep his seat, but not with a huge vote surplus.
And the TG4 poll also said the chance of Cllr Gary Doherty getting a seat was now impossible.
The party had fielded three candidates, believing all three could be returned.
The poll sees Fianna Fail as the biggest party in the new Donegal five-seat constituency with both Pat the Cope Gallagher and Charlie McConalogue sailing into the next Dáil.
And Joe McHugh will join them there, says the poll.
But pollsters now believe Thomas Pringle, just behind Inishowen man Padraig, could take the last seat.
The poll is as follows:
Pearse Doherty (SF) 19%
Charlie McConalogue (FF) 17%
Joe McHugh (FG) 13%
Pat the Cope Gallagher (FF) 13%
Pádraig Mac Lochlainn (SF) 9%
Thomas Pringle (Ind) 7%
Dessie Shiels (Ind) 7%
Paddy Harte (FG) 4%
Frank McBrearty Jnr (Ind) 4%
Tim Jackson (Ind) 3%
Gary Doherty (SF) 2%
Ian McGarvey (Ind 2%
Niamh Kennedy (Ind) 2%
