ONE of RTE’S flagship news programmes is set to come live from Co Donegal next Monday.
The broadcaster is yet to decide if the Six-One News or the Nine O’Clock News will come from St Eunan’s GAA club in Letterkenny.
The clubhouse there has recently been refurbished.
It’s part of RTE’s plans to widen its coverage of the General Election across the regions.
Details will be finalised over the weekend; with a special focus on the Donegal constituency, the candidates here for the election and the issues affecting the county – unemployment, poor electricity supply, dreadful broadband and mobile phone coverage, shocking roads infrastructure and the lack of any localised economic strategy.
