Karl O’Kane’s statement regarding Ryan McHugh being the best player currently in the country without an All-star got us thinking in the Donegal Daily office.
We asked ourselves who was the best Donegal player to never win an All-Star over the last twenty-years?
Some of the names touted in the office were Manus Boyle, who missed out on one in 92 – despite scoring nine points in Donegal’s All-Ireland Final win over Dublin.
Some of the others mentioned were Eamon McGee, Brendan Devenney, Damien Diver, Christy Toye and Declan Bonner.
So we thought we’d ask our readers to see who they though were very unlucky not to win an All-Star in the last twenty-five years.
Post the name of the player you feel is most deserving on our Facebook thread, and we’ll see who the GAA fraternity in Donegal think was the best player in the last twenty-five years to never win an All-Star.
