The venue of the pre-season friendly clash between Finn Harps and Ballina FC has been moved due to the inclement weather conditions currently afflicting the country.
Ballina FC have been forced to move the fixture away from their home venue – and will instead travel to Donegal to face newly-promoted Harps.
The game will now be played on an astro-turf facility in Ballyshannon – which is also the home of Erne Wanderers FC.
The club released the following statement on their Facebook page, “Unfortunately we must confirm that our pre-season game versus Finn Harps has been moved from Ballina.
“The game will now take place at an astro-turf facility in Ballyshannon – due to the current inclement weather which has caused our pitch to be waterlogged – we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Horgan will use the fixture to run the rule over a number of players currently on trial with Harps.
Some of them featured on Wednesday night – as the Inishowen Oscar Traynor side defeated Harps 2-1 at Maginn Park.
