The Swilly Seals Squad travelled to Newry on Saturday 23rd January to face Newry and Mourne A.S.C in round four of the Provincial Towns League.
With Newry and Mourne in search of their first win of the season and Swilly Seals their third it was an intense and closely fought battle.
Newry edged slightly ahead after the Medley Relay’s and a close battle ensued during the individual races. The Freestyle Relays at the end of the meet saw both teams win four each. So after almost three hours and fifty six events Newry and Mourne did take their first win of the season beating the Seals by forty four points setting the final score at 594 to 550.
There was fine swimming from both sides and alot of new personal best times achieved. A big thank you to all the parents and coaches who travelled and helped run the event. A big thank you also to Newry and Mourne for a very warm welcome and well run gala.
