A nationwide survey of estate agents’ expectations for this year shows Donegal house prices will jump by ten per cent this year.
The strongest predictions for price rises are mostly apparent in those areas that have been slowest to recover from the crash, said the Real Estate Alliance.
On average, agents are predicting an increase of 5.6pc nationwide but Dublin will remain static.
However Donegal (10%) Leitrim (11%), Monaghan (10%), Roscommon (10%), Cavan (10p%) will all rise highest.
“The strongest predictions for price rises are mostly apparent in those areas that have been slowest to recover from the crash,” said REA chairman Michael O’Connor.
Significant rises of more than half a per cent per month are expected in Kerry with 9%, Kilkenny 9% and Clare 7%.
