Mountaineer Jason Black is to attempt a solo-climb of his latest summit adventure after the rest of his team decided to abandon their expedition.
The well-known Letterkenny adventurer is attempting to scale Aconcagua, a 6,960.8 metres (22,837 ft) mountain, in the Andes Mountain range in Argentina.
After some initial successful days of climbing, Jason was forced to return to base camp after some horrific weather conditions in recent days.
But Black is now at Camp Two again and will today attempt to summit the mountain with a major push.
