A student who was drunk in a Chinese Takeaway in Letterkenny has been fined €200.
Geroid Leahy appeared at Letterkenny District Court today.
The court heard how Leahy, 25, of Drisarden, Gortlee, Letterkenny was arrested by Gardai at the Chinatown Restaurant on Ramelton Road on December 7th last.
Garda Kenny said the accused was unsteady on his feet and slurring his words and he believed he was a danger to himself and the public.
Leahy, who works part-time in Paddy Power Bookmakers, had a previous conviction for drunk driving and dangerous driving.
Judge Paul Kelly fined the accused €200 for being intoxicated.
