DSC_0018The annual RNLI New Year’s Day Swim takes place at 3pm at the Big Pier, Mountcharles on Thurs Jan 1st.

This is a short fun swim from the Boat Slip to the pier steps lasting approx 3/4 mins.

The organisers respectfully request a donation of €5 from each swimmer towards funding our 54 RNLI Lifeboat crews around the island of Ireland.

The event is weather dependent and the public attend at their own risk.

The New Year’s Day Swim has grown from strength to strength and is now a popular local social gathering as well as an important fundraiser for the Lifeboats. The organisers welcome onlookers as well as swimmers.
