Shaun Kelly, 25, appeared at Letterkenny Circuit court last week but had his case put back until today.
Kelly, from Hill Road, Buncrana, pleaded guilty at the last sitting of the same court in July.
Judge John O’Hagan has invited a representative from the families of each of the eight people killed in July 2010 to give a victim impact statement in court today.
