A STORM set to hit Donegal later on Tuesday night could cut power supplies, forecasters have warned.
Winds of more than 110km/hr will hit us over a 36-hour period until the early hours of Thursday.
The worst of the storm is expected on Wednesday afternoon with Met Eireann issuing a weather warning for wind.
The wind direction will switch from south-westerly on Tuesday to a cold arctic northerly on Wednesday with the potential for snow showers.
More wintry weather is predicted for Thursday.
