GARDAI have sealed off the Public Services Centre in Letterkenny after a break-in overnight.
Donegal Daily understands several parts of the centre were broken into, with the motor tax office among the parts of the building broken into.
The centre has been closed and staff told to stay away as Garda forensic officers carry out a meticulous search.
CCTV footage inside and outside the building will give clues to those responsible, gardai say.
The public service centre, run by Donegal County Council, deals with hundreds of people every day, mainly people renewing car tax.
It’s thought cash in the building is kept in a safe there.
