Letterkenny, County Donegal – Charity SNAP has announced that it will be hosting a public event at Ballymacool Park, Letterkenny on Tuesday, December 9th at 3.30pm to mark the installation of new ‘Universal Play’ Equipment.
Local members of the media and community have been invited to attend.
SNAP has directly funded the equipment through local fundraising and cooperation with local bodies.
Prior to this installation at Ballymacool Park the nearest Universal Play equipment available was in County Cavan. Universal play equipment enables children with a disability to play alongside their friends and siblings.
The new equipment installed at Ballymacool includes the following 1) an Ability Roundabout, 2) a Wheelchair accessible See-Saw and 3) A Bicycle Pedal Roundabout.
These items have been installed at a cost of over €30,000 which has been fundraised by SNAP in Co. Donegal.
A sign is to be placed within the park recognising the generosity and hard work of all who contributed towards this fantastic outcome.
