CAPPRY ROVERS UNDER 18’s
Bonagee Utd 3-3 Cappry Rovers
The u18’s drew 3 each with Bonagee in a friendly today. We just had 11 players so well done to all the lads. Conor Laverty grabbed all 3 goals but this was a good fighting performance by all the players as they came from behind twice to level the match. Particularly well done to the lads who don’t play regularly as they didn’t look out of place at all. There will be training on Thurs at 7.30pm up at Cappry. We have a big game against Letterkenny Rovers next sat at home in the national cup so it’s important that everyone is there on Thursday.
CAPPRY ROVERS UNDER 16’s
Cappry Rovers 4-1 Castlefin Celtic
Cappry started this game well and took the lead in the 9th minute when N.P McDaid fired his shoot into the bottom corner. The home side pressed looking for a 2nd but Castlefin held out well.
Towards the end of the first half it was Castlefin who looked more like scoring but they didn’t get back level.
Cappry got reorganised at half time and thought they had added a 2nd when N.P McDaid hit the crossbar with a great effort from 25 yards. Castlefin dealt with the pressure well and in the 52nd minute they hit the bar themselves through a fine effort from Paul Farley.
Castlefin went close again when Corrie Lee Bogan fired a low cross but there was nobody there for the tap in at the back post.
In the 61st minute Cappry made it 2-0 with a fine passing move which Karl McGylnn finished off. Castlefin didn’t give up and pulled a goal back in the 63rd minute when Paul Farley rounded the Cappry keeper. Cappry nearly made it 3 when Kyle O’Meara saw his effort saved by the Castlefin keeper.
In the 70th minute Joel Bradley Walsh made it 3-1 when he kept a cool head in the box to beat his man and fire low into the bottom corner. Joel Bradley Walsh almost had his second in the 74th minute but saw his effort hit the crossbar.
In 78th minute Joel Bradley Walsh made it 4-1 when he finished well again. Two team performances. Ref: Marty Mc Garrigle.

CAPPRY CRUSADERS AND CAPPRY COLTS UNDER 12’s
Cappry Crusaders 3-0 Bonagee Athletic
Cappry Crusaders welcomed bonagee to a flood lit Cappry Park last Friday evening. They settled into their passing game with the two Conor’s, Thompson and Lynch getting on plenty of the ball.
While Jason Dunne will receive all the plaudits with 2 goals, Oisin Doherty tormented Bonagee every time he touched the ball with his close control.
His industry was rewarded with a well taken goal.
Again our defence was solid with Kian Gallagher and Odhran Thomas working well together at the heart of defence.
A good team performance with some great work on both wings by Jamie Kee and Shane McBride.
Another tough task ahead of the lads next weekend with a trip to Letterkenny Crusaders.
Gweedore Utd AFC 1-5 Cappry Colts
The Colts made the long journey to Gweedore on Saturday last and returned home with a great win.The first 20 minutes were closely fought with Odhran Quigley Doherty and Sean Lyons going close
It took a superb freekick from 18 yards from Eoghan Stewart to break the deadlock, and 5 minutes before the break full back Patrick Long made it 2 nil with another terrific free from 25 yards.
10 minutes into the 2nd half Eoghan stewart made it 3 before Daniel Taberski got his 2nd goal of the season 4 minutes later.
The youthful Gweedore side deservedly got one back before Eoghan Stewart grabbed his hatrick near the end and send the jubilant away supporters home happy.
Thanks to the 15 players who travelled and all played their part.
The colts have no league game next weekend.
