Neil McGee was crowned Player of the year at the Ulster GAA President’s Awards ceremony which took place at the Hilton Hotel, Templepatrick.
McGee narrowly missed out on winning the GPA Footballer of the year last month, but Kerry’s star forward James O’Donoghue took home the coveted award.
However, McGee’s superb efforts were recognized at the GAA President’s Awards who awarded the Gaoth Dobhair full-back with the player of the year award.
McGee is currently preparing for Ireland’s International Rules series with Australia in Sydney on Saturday.
McGee is expected to play a key role for Paul Earley’s side as they take on the Australian’s in the one-off test at the weekend.
McGee will then jet off to Boston for the All-Stars tour which takes place next week.
