Kildrum Tigers 1 Cappry Rovers 0
Kildrum Tigers got their first victory of the season after a hard fought win over a resilient Cappry side. Both teams had a few chances in a fiery encounter but all to no avail. On 83minutes Darren O’ Leary turned the ball into his own net after substitute Gareth Colhoun played a wonderful ball across the six yard box. Great battling performances from both teams.
Drumoghill F.C. 5 Lifford Celtic 3
This was a game that was littered with errors and could really have went anyway but Drumoghill’s late rally eventually saw them claim all three points. Chris Malseed, Richie Moore and Terence Shields all scored in the final quarter of the game to secure the points after Cian Patton had but the visitors 3-2 ahead on 62minutes. Patton’s goal was deserved as the visitors started the second half in the ascendency. They had battled back from 2-1 down to leave the score 2-2 at the interval with both Lifford goals coming from James Connolly. Terence Shields and Richie Moore had also scored during the first half to put their side ahead after Connolly’s first goal had given Lifford the lead. The pendulum continued to swing in the 2nd half and both teams will reflect on defensive chaos as the goals continued to flow. Drumoghill will be relieved to have secured the points from what was an entertaining fixture.
Referee Paddy Martin.
