Even though the event itself won’t take place until December 6th there’s already been a huge demand for tickets for the Deele College Strictly Come Dancing contest which will be held in the Mount Errigal Hotel, Letterkenny.
Tickets for the show will go on sale at a launch night in the school on Monday November 17th and according to Caitriona Bonner one of the teachers organising the event, they are likely to be snapped up very quickly indeed.
Catriona told Donegal Daily, “We have a terrific team of dancers who have been rehearsing for a number of weeks now and our Transition Year classes will also be dancing on the night.
“There is great excitement building about the Strictly now and early indications are that it will be a guaranteed sell-out.
“Aside from the Transition Year classes, eleven couples will take to floor on the night representing teachers, staff, students, past pupils and parents all keen to help the school with this worthy fund raising venture.
“The Strictly is part of the ongoing 50th anniversary celebrations at the school and proceeds are going towards the development of a canteen in the school.
“We are delighted that there has been such a terrific response.
She added that the full line up of dancers will be officially unveiled on the launch night with tickets then available from the dancers or through the school.
“We have a Facebook Page set up where people can keep up to date with all the news relating to the Strictly.
However, I would urge anyone thinking of going on the night to make sure they get their tickets before they are sold out, she concluded.
