In an article published on Donegal Daily late on Sunday last, October 19, and which was on the site for 11 hours before being removed, we reported on an U13 game involving Termon and St Eunan’s GAA clubs
We wish to state that no-one from Termon GAA club recorded any part of the game on a video device and Donegal Daily accepts this entirely, and further there was nothing for Bord na nOg to therefore investigate, which we also accept. No investigation took place.
It was reported by us that there had been a discussion at half-time about the score with a dispute over what it should have been and it was also reported by us that the scores had been recorded on a device.
Donegal Daily now accepts entirely that the score was not video-recorded on a device, and that the notes app on a mobile device was merely used to note scores and scorers for a subsequent match report at the request of a local newspaper. This was used to help clarify what the half-time score should have read.
We are happy to clarify all these positions and apologise to Termon GAA club.
