It will take place in Letterkenny on Saturday week, November 1, at 2pm.
The local demonstrations will take place throughout the country and follows the march in Dublin which attracted 100,000 supporters.
“As the Government have ignored the people’s wishes in the budget, theRIGHT2WATER campaign is now calling on all local communities throughout the country to come together and organise another massive show of “people power” countrywide on the 1st November,” said Charlie McDyer.
“Right2Water is a citizen’s campaign. We believe that water is a human right, and we are seeking the abolition of domestic water charges.
“All households will now have to pay for water, regardless of whether they can afford it. As with all service charges, low income families will pay proportionately more.
“Irish families cannot afford to pay water charges. With many thousands struggling with mortgage debt and mass unemployment it is just a step too far.”
