COUNTY councillor John O’Donnell is doing his bit to try to make sure Termon Ladies’ bid for Ulster title glory is right on track.
The big-hearted businessman has been sponsoring the club’s buses to all of their Ulster championship victories.
And he’s going to have to fork out again, as Termon are through to this year’s Ulster Senior Championship final.
The senior decider will be a repeat of last year’s game between Donaghmoyne and Termon. Both sides had away wins in the semi’s and both were made work hard for their victories. Donaghmoyne beat Clann Eireann 0-13 to 1-7. There was also just three points difference in the other last four game with Termon winning 5-11 to 2-17 at Castlewellan.
In the intermediate final Four Masters will meet Monaghan Harps. The Donegal side beat Ballinascreen 0-12 to 2-3 while Monaghan Harps had four points to spare over Omagh St. Enda’s winning 1-10 to 0-9.
The senior and intermediate Ulster finals are on Sunday November 1 – a double header at Brewster Park in Enniskillen.
Carndonagh and St. Dympna’s will contest the junior decider at Celtic Park on Saturday, November 1. Cardonagh were double score winners over Aughnamullen (2-14 to 1-7) and St. Dympna’s won a ten goal thriller against Loughinisland 7-8 to 3-11.
