Donegal entrepreneur, Pete Friel of CharteredEducation.com, was among the outstanding young entrepreneurs at the recent New Frontiers Programme Networking event in Dublin.
The event brought together over 150 entrepreneurs whose ideas have been identified as having strong employment and growth potential.
Pete Friel, who was recently named Donegal’s Best Young Entrepreneur, started his business to provide eLearning solutions in an industry with a global skill shortage.
Friel told Donegal Daily, “There’s a global shortage of qualified accountants.
“CharteredEducation.com provides online study materials for the ACCA accountancy qualification.
“And by providing students with access to quality exam preparation materials that can be accessed at any time from any device, we hope to play our part in increasing the number of qualified accountants to fill vacant positions.
New Frontiers, Ireland’s national entrepreneur development programme funded by Enterprise Ireland aims to accelerate the development of sustainable new businesses such as CharteredEducation.com.
