Last Sunday was week two of the 2014 hunt for turkeys at Otway, and four players must have felt like right turkeys when they inadvertently played off the wrong tee.
As the old saying goes, what happens on the course stays on the course, so Damian, Patsy, Noel and Arthur can relax in the knowledge that what happened them last Sunday on the 3rd/5th tee-box will go no further.
Every year some lucky swinger gets on an early roll, and this year it’s Dan Canning, who has bagged two out of two already.
Dan was joined by Paul Murray, Pat McNulty and Philip Friel to record the winning score of 9 under par, in unusually mild conditions for mid October.
Congrats to last weeks winners, and for the rest of us, it’s another chance to try again this Sunday at 1pm, names in to the clubhouse by 12.45, tel 9158319.
