Taoiseach Enda Kenny has been branded a ‘disgrace’ by Donegal Deputy Pearse Doherty
DONEGAL TD Pearse Doherty has launched a scathing attack on Taoiseach Enda Kenny over the Fine Gael leader’s behaviour during the Budget debate in the Dail last night.
Mr Kenny constantly interrupted Deputy Doherty.
The Gaoth Dobhair politician said today: “Official Dáil record shows that Taoiseach heckled me on 10 occasions during my budget response and thats only what the transcribers picked up.
“He mumbled on continuously for the first five minutes. He was a total disgrace.”
Deputy Doherty went on: “He may not like me pointing out that most people will be worse off as a result of water charges and the demand is simple – Scrap Water Charges or maybe it was me pointing out to him that he got from the budget 4-four times more of a tax cut – and he’s on €183K – than someone on €35,000.
“This government wouldn’t recognise fairness if it hit them in the face.”
