Parent & Toddler Group – The Parent & Toddler group continues upstairs in the RDRC Centre on Thursday mornings from 10.30 a.m. – 12.30 p.m. This is a great opportunity for babies and toddlers to interact and for the parents/guardians to meet for a catch up and some light refreshments. €2.50 per family. ALL WELCOME! We will celebrate Halloween on 23rd October. The children will be making Halloween decorations and can come along in their Halloween costumes and parents can bring some treats.
Child & Family Health Clinic – CHANGE IN TIMES from 14th October 2014 onwards
This community initiative strives to be more accessible for families and children – The Child & Family Health Clinic is based in the Rathmullan & District Resource Centre. Opening hours Tuesday’s 2.00 p.m. – 5.30 pm & Thursday 11.00 a.m. – 5.30 p.m. Advice will be provided for parents, babies and children up to school going age. Weigh checks and general developmental advice given. Scheduled Anti Natal, Post Natal, support for parents & child related clinics will be available. The Clinic will now be located in the ground floor meeting room. Access via the front door/meeting room door of the building. If you have any queries regarding your child’s development please contact your local Public Health Nurse for more details. Annual Membership fees are as follows: €50.00 per person. €75.00 per family. Non members may also use the court at a cost of €5.00 per hour. Booking is essential.
Rathmullan Playground Extension – Quiz Night
Cormac’s famous ‘quiz night’ in aid of the Rathmullan Playground Extension to install “inclusive” equipment so ALL children can play together is on Friday 24th October at 9.00 p.m. in the Beachcomber Bar. Teams of four. Cost €20.00 Can you beat Mally’s team? Come along to a great night of ‘craic’ and entertainment and support a very worthy cause.
Rathmullan Playground Extension – A MASSIVE ‘THANK YOU ALL’
We would like to take this opportunity of thanking most sincerely all who contributed in any way to the hugely successful fundraising Harvest Feast held last Sunday at Rathmullan, in the Marquee and Ferry Gate. In particular, we would like to thank Rathmullan House Hotel, Rathmullan ChartersCharters, White Hart, Belles kitchen, Kinnegar Brewing, Garvan O’Doherty, Pat Patton, who donated all the lamb as well as buying tickets, Dan Loughrey who donated fantastic vegetables, James Gallagher who sourced crab claws from Hannigan and Oysters from Gallagher. Jackie Edwards who didn’t want to be paid. Joe Whelan who took his life in his hands to climb the ladders and take down the marquee and Benny who gave up laying his new lawn. Silverhill who gave the smoked duck, Ronnie Blake for facilitating moving into the Ferry Gate at very short notice. We would also like to thank all the people who came along and supported the event, and also many thanks to those who were unable to be there, but made a donation. And finally, to all the volunteers who worked tirelessly all day long and ensured that we all had an absolutely brilliant Harvest Feast. Thank you, (p.s. look out for more fundraising fun events!!!) Rathmullan & District Local History Society presents World War 1 – Stories from Rathmullan & Lough Swilly on Sunday 26th October at 3.00 p.m. in the St. Vincent de Paul Centre. The Talk will be presented by Deirdre Friel, Local Historian & Failte Ireland guide who specializes in walking tours of Rathmullan & Ramelton. Everyone welcome – ADMISSION FREE.
