Shameless Donegal Garda killer Martin McDermott has demanded an investigation into how it was revealed he will be getting out of prison early.
The Raphoe criminal, whose car killed Garda Gary McLoughlin in Burt in 2009, is due to get out of prison 21 months early for “good behaviour.”
This is despite the fact that McDermott escaped from prison and went on the run before being recaptured in Derry.
The Star newspaper revealed that the 27 year old is due for release next June.
But now brazen McDermott has demanded the Irish Prison Service find out who leaked the information that he was getting out early.
It has also been revealed that McDermott was only given an extra 14 days in jail for escaping from prison during which he also assaulted a PSNI officer in Derry.
McDermott was jailed for seven years in July 2011 and his release next June means that he will have served just three-quarters of his sentence.
