Emergency services are at the scene of a serious road collision in Glenties.
BREAKING NEWS: Emergency services are currently attending the scene of a serious road accident on the outskirts of Glenties.
The accident happened on the main Glenties to Ardara road shortly after 4pm.
It is believed the accident occurred at a notorious black-spot on the road, which has a series of sharp bends.
It is not yet known if anyone has been seriously injured in the crash, but the ambulance and fire brigade are at the scene.
Gardaí have now closed the main road connecting Glenties and Ardara, as they carry out their investigations and survey the scene of the accident.
It is not known how long the road will remain closed for, but diversions have been put in place.
