Both our Senior and reserves chances of making the knock out stages of this years championship ended in Glenties on Saturday evening.
The youthful reserve side were well beaten by a very strong N Conaill outfit, losing out 2-10 to 1-4, while the seniors went down by 0-10 to 0-7.
This Sunday, we travel to Ranafast to take on N. Mhuire in the final group game. Although we cannot make the quarter finals, it’s a massively important game, as the losers will go into the Championship relegation play off with the bottom placed team from the other 3 sections. The losers in the relegation semi final, would then have a play off, with the beaten club dropping into the Intermediate Championship next year. With ourselves and N Mhuire winless from our opening games, it’s a must win game, as neither club would want to drop out of the Senior Championship. The reserve game gets underway at 1-30, while the senior match will have a 3-00 throw in. We would appreciate as much support as possible for both games on Sunday.
LADIES FOOTBALL
The football season is still very much in the minds of our Senior Ladies Team with a place in the Division 4 League final up for grabs. The Ladies team are due to play Red Hugh’s this weekend, however details for this play off to be finalised. We would ask that all our supporters keep a close eye on facebook and twitter during the week for any updates.
