Conor Gibbons scored as St Eunans ran out easy winners against Naomh Muire in the Donegal SFC.

Naomh Conaill and St Eunans both secured the wins they desired to advance to the last eight of the Donegal SFC.

The two bitter rivals now meet in the final group match next weekend, in the knowledge that both teams are safely through, the only thing left to play for is to see who tops the group.

St Eunans recorded a comprehensive win over Naomh Muire with a ruthless and clinical display at O’Donnell Park yesterday afternoon.

They led 1-9 to 0-00 after twenty minutes, the goal coming from lively corner-forward Conor Gibbons, Naomh Muire couldn’t cope with the pace and intensity in which St Eunans played at.

Hugh ‘The Yank’ Boyle struck a goal early in the second-half, but it didn’t spark a comeback as Gary would’ve hoped.

Eunans piled on the pressure to run out comfortable winners on a score-line of St Eunans 1-21 Naomh Muire 1-05.

Naomh Muire and Malin will now battle it out to remain in the Donegal SFC for next season when they clash next Sunday in the Banks.

Naomh Conaill were made to work hard by Malin but got over the line for the second week running to book their place in the last eight.

Dermot Molloy and Daragh Gallagher were impressive for the hosts, as was John O’Malley.

Malin worked extremely hard, but lacked that bit of quality in the forward department to really hurt Naomh Conaill.

Naomh Conaill won through on a score-line of 0-10 to Malin’s 0-07.
