DRESSMAKING
Dressmaking classes will begin on October 7th at 7pm. The fee for this 6 week course is €50 payable on night one. The price includes materials and participants are advised to bring their own sewing machine.
ART
Art Classes will be held on Saturday afternoons between 2.30pm and 4.30pm in Annagry Community Hall from October 25th. Although this class will be taught through the medium of oils, others mediums will be accommodated. The fee for this eight week long course is €60 payable at class one.
GUITAR
Guitar lessons for various age groups will begin on Wednesday October 15th. Junior classes (6-9 years old) at 4.30pm, Older (10-16 years old) at 5pm. Names are also being taken for interested adults, but this class will be held on a different weekday.
FLY TYING
Tution in the craft of Fly Tying will begin on Tuesday evening October 14th. This 8 week long course includes line casting and is suitable for all age groups. The cost is €60 or €40 for under18s payable on night one. The classes start at 7pm.
SOCIAL MEDIA
Social media classes will be held on Wednesday afternoons starting on October 22nd at 2pm. This class will cover all aspects of Social Media such as email, search engines, online searching, booking and buying, twitter, facebook, scype etc. The fee for this 8 week course is €40 payable on at class one.
SET DANCING
A new season of Set Dancing classes will begin again on Monday October 13th at 8pm. As well as set dancing lessons, céilí dancing will also be taught. Refreshments served.
CHURCH GATE COLLECTION
The Church Gate collection in Annagry on behalf of Disabled Drivers Association amounted to €208. The DDA wish to thank all who subscribed.
LOTTO
There was no winner of the €2060 jackpot in the Naomh Muire Club Lotto for September 24th. The numbers drawn were 2-11-15-16. Ciaran Gallagher Mullachdubh matched 3 numbers. The jackpot on October 1st is €2120 If you’re not in, you can’t win! The next 100+Draw is on the September 30th. All sellers are asked to ensure their subs are all up to date and with the co-ordinator by Sunday evening September 28th.

NOEL MCBRIDE
Congratulations to local boxer Noel McBride who won the Connaught Championships last weekend.
ART BOX
The breakfast ARTBOX will return to the CDP on Monday October 6th 2014. This is a group open to parents/carers with young children where they can come along to meet and make friends whilst getting involved in some creative art activities. The cost per session is €2 and refreshments are included in this price.
HALLOWEEN SPOOKTACULAR
The Old Railway Walk committee are getting organised for their now annual “Halloween Spooktacular” which will be held on Friday 24th at 7.30. This year the event will see the introduction of The Rosses Pumpkin Master where individuals will be awarded prizes based on their pumpkin carving skills. Mary Rodgers to do a free pumpkin carving demonstration at St Columba’s Community Centre, Acres on Thursday evening October 23rd at 7pm and children/adults who wish to enter the competition will then have the opportunity to carve their pumpkins. All children need an adult supervisor/parent on the evening due to the use of sharp tools and knives which will be used. Details to follow.
