Well October has arrived, and it’s time for the open Sunday scrambles again at Otway, starting this Sunday 5th, with names in to the clubhouse by 12.45 for a 1 o’clock tee off.
Last Saturday the Millenium Construction sponsored ladies and gents open produced some fine performances, and exceptional scoring.
The ladies section was won by Orla Gallagher with 43 pts, followed by Edel Doherty 2nd on 37 and Celine Bradley in third place with 35.
Victory in the gents section went to Arthur Morrison with 45 pts, with Dan Canning a close second on 44, and just one point back in 3rd was Patrick Kelly.
Nearest the pin was won by Noel Fisher. Congrats to all the prizewinners, and a big thanks to Millenium Construction for their generous sponsorship of the day.
The club fundraising draw was also held on the night, with the main prize sponsored by Michael Ewings going to Steven Fahey, 2nd prize sponsored by Whoriskey Oils going to Ollie O’Dowd, and third prize also sponsored by Michael Ewings won by Michael McGahey.
And finally well done to Philip Friel who just edged past Patsy Gallagher to take the title in the recent Top Eight matchplay final.
