Buncrana GAA Notes
Senior Ladies
Well done to the Senior Ladies who reached the quarter finals while playing in the mini 7’s tournament in Dublin. They got through to the All Ireland quarter final after beating Portobello and Glinsk in the group stage! The quarter final was extremely tight and the Ladies only lost by a point. If a couple of contentious decisions had gone their way who knows how far they could have progressed. This was a great achievement for the Ladies and their management team given that it was their first ever appearance in the tournament. Better luck next year girls!
Training every Wednesday at 7.30 in the Scarvey. New members always welcome.
Senior Training
Seniors & Minors Hurling training is on Wednesdays at 7.00pm. All players are urged to make every effort to attend.

Under Age Reports
Well done to the U13 hurlers who won the Division 1 Shield on Sunday in Owenbeg. The boys played the final against Lavey. The final score was 3-3 to 2-3. Manager Tommy O’Neill was mightily pleased with the performance and expects these kids to progress even further in coming years.

Suicide Prevention
Suicide Prevention is everyone’s business. The HSE, in partnership with Donegal GAA and other organisations is developing a Suicide Prevention Action Plan for County Donegal, working with the National Office for Suicide Prevention.
We want as many people as possible to have their say about what should be included in the plan. You can print off and complete the questionnaire from our FB page or answer the questions online at www.surveymonkey.com/s/donegalsuicideprevention
Donegal Hospice
The club would like to thank everyone who supported the All Ireland Coffee morning which raised a whopping €1,121.47 for the Donegal Hospice.
Special thanks to everyone who baked and displayed the fabulous array of goodies, the local businesses who supported it including Supervalu, Westend Dental Surgery, The Lunchbox and the Inishowen Gateway Hotel and everyone who helped out on the day. Thanks to O Flahertys Bar for hosting the event.
A big thank you also to the staff and pupils of Scoil Iosagain for their wonderful rendition of ‘All the way with Donegal’, which certainly helped to build the excitement.
Club Lotto
There was no winner of the weekly Lotto held in An Tuath Nua on Saturday night but our monthly €500 winner is Michael Killoran. Congrats Michael and thanks to you and everyone else who entered for your support from all at the club. The numbers drawn were 7, 10, 16, and 21. September’s sellers were Bord na nOg so much thanks to them. Octobers Lotto will be carried out by the Senior Ladies so look out for them. All monies raised go to keeping our Club afloat, training our young people and giving them a healthy and safe outlet.
