St Michaels were in devastating form this evening in their Donegal SFC clash with Bundoran.
St Michaels ran out convincing winners on a comprehensive score-line of 4-10 to 0-06.
Goals in either half from Colm McFadden ensured a comfortable win for Tony Wilkinson’s side.
Christy Toye and Michael Langan were the other goal scorers for St Michael’s who delivered an accomplished performance in difficult conditions at The Bridge.
The score-line would suggest St. Michaels had it all their own way, but in truth the first-half was a closely fought game.
Bundoran had the advantage of the breeze, but in truth were unable to take advantage of it and only posted four first-half points.
St. Michaels also found scores hard to come by in the opening period, but a penalty from Colm McFadden and great team move involving Martin McElhinney, Ciaran Gallagher and Oisin Langan was finished off brilliantly by Michael Langan.
Those goals ensured St Michaels led 2-01 to 0-04 at the interval.
In the second-half St. Michaels were absolutely clinical and ruthless in their play, and outscored Bundoran 2-09 to 0-02.
St. Michaels were fantastic in the second-half, and with players from both Kilcar and Glenswilly in attendance at the game, St. Michaels have certainly gave them food for thought ahead of their forthcoming clashes with both teams in the next couple of weeks.
