A Letterkenny-based company have shown some true community spirit in a bid to help a little Donegal boy to walk for the first time.
Last Friday, in the run up to the All Ireland Football final, the team at IT company, SITA held a Jersey Day to raise funds for the “Mammy, I Want to Walk Fund”.
The charity was set up for five- year old Killygordon boy Paul Doherty who has spastic quadriplegic cerebral palsy and dreams of one day getting out of the wheelchair he has used all his young life.
The family needs to raise more than €60,000 to have a private operation in an American clinic.
The SITA team proved their overwhelming generosity, raising close to €1,000 on the day.
They have also organised further fundraising efforts over the coming weeks to help make this little five- year old boys dream a reality.
Huge congratulations to everyone involved!
