Daniel O’Donnell says that he often finds himself about to telephone his late mother Julia.
The singer says he is still getting used to the fact that she has passed on.
But the star says that he is gradually beginning to live with his mother’s passing and finds comfort in visiting her grave.
“I sometimes find myself thinking that I should ring her, even though I know she’s dead.
“I used to ring her every day.
“It’s a strange kind of thing, really, but I suppose that’s normal in the early days after you lose a loved one.
And Daniel adds “When I’m at home, I’m very near the graveyard, so I can pop in. It’s lovely to be able to go to the grave.
“Sometimes if I’m driving down to the golf course I’ll shout out as I pass the cemetery ‘Well Mam!” And I’ll pop into her on the way back.
“She left a great impression behind her, with all of us.”
