Jim McGuinness has said the success the Donegal Minor team are currently enjoying under the stewardship of Declan Bonner will benefit the Donegal Senior team in the long run.
On Sunday, Bonner will lead his side out on to Croke Park to face Dublin at 1.30pm in what is a curtain raiser to the senior match which starts at 3.30pm.
The Donegal minors won the Ulster title in utterly convincing fashion over Armagh, and have been impressive all year.
A number of players have caught the eye, and McGuinness reckons he could take four of the current panel into his senior ranks right away.
McGuinness admitted his policy since he became manager was to take the best minor every year, which every year happened to be the captain of the minors.
However, he’s admitted that he could take at least four players from this current crop of talented players.
He also said the importance of winning an Ulster Title at minor level will also do so much to develop the players as they progress to U21 and Senior level.
