The Pavilion Golf Shop sponsored Leitrim Cup was played for over the August bank holiday weekend.
The qualifying rounds took place over the Old Tom Morris Links on Saturday & Sunday with the results as follows- Saturday 2nd August
1st Hugo Duggan 15 with 70 nett bot
2nd Damien O’Connell 15 with 70 nett
Gross Michael Brown 8 with 79 gross
3rd Peter Smyth 11 with 71 nett
Two’s – Michael Boyce, Seamus Connor 42e each.
Sunday 3rd August
1st Denis McBride 9 with 69 nett bot
2nd Danny Sweeney 19 with 69 nett
Gross Con Boyce 5 with 75 gross
3rd Charlie McClafferty 8 with 71 nett bot

Mike Brown 13e each.
On Monday morning the quarter finals were played over the Strand Nine starting at 8.30am with
•Peter Smyth beating Mike Brown,
•Denis McBride beating Hugo Duggan,
•Charlie McClafferty beating Con Boyce &
•Danny Sweeney beating Damien O’Connell.
The 9 hole semi finals followed immediately where Denis McBride birdied the 3rd tie hole to beat Peter Smyth and Danny Sweeney overcame Charlie McClafferty.
The Leitrim Cup final between Denis McBride & Danny Sweeney began at 3.30pm and was followed by a large gallery, after 9 holes Denis held a 2 hole lead but Danny squared the match after the 15th.
Denis then pulled away winning the Par 5 16th & Par 3 17th to win 2&1 for his first victory in this event in his third final.

Congratulations to the Rosapenna Mixed Foursomes team who beat Bangor G.C at Moyola Park Golf Club last Thursday 3.5-1.5 to reach the Ulster Final for the second time in three years.
The Ulster Final will take place on Friday the 22nd of August at either Warrenpoint or Lurgan G.C where we will face either Ballyclare or Balmoral for a place in the All Ireland Finals.

Commiseration’s to the Rosapenna Ulster Cup team who lost out to a strong Cloverhill side in the Ulster quarter final last Sunday.
Rosapenna had won 2.5 matches from 7 away a week previous.
Cloverhill travelled to Rosapenna on Sunday and won three of the matches to end the tie in their favour.
Many thanks to the panel of players and to the team captain Denis Harkin for their efforts & commitment to the team all year and congratulations on reaching the latter stages of this years competition.
Good luck to the Rosapenna Minor League team who play Falcarragh G.C in the county semi final second leg this Thursday the 7th of August at 4.00pm.
The first leg ended 4-1 (8 holes up) to Rosapenna.
Support on the night is welcomed.
The Rosapenna Junior team played Murvagh home & away last week in the Donegal Youth League.
In the home leg Rosapenna won 2-1 and the following day the team travelled to Murvagh and unfortunately lost the first two matches and with the third match two down with two holes to the play the tie was won by Murvagh. Many thanks to Hugh McBride & Franice Boyce for looking after the team this year and well done to all the Juniors that took part in both legs.
The Rosapenna Golf Resort OPEN WEEK will begin this Friday the 8th of August.

Any uncollected club prizes from the recent presentation that took place on Sunday last are now available for collection from the Pavilion Golf Shop and should be collected as soon as possible.
