Donegal’s minor footballers lead Roscommon 0-05 to 0-04 in their All-Ireland quarter-final clash at Markievicz Park in Sligo.
Gweedore’s Cian Mulligan put Donegal ahead in the opening minutes before Roscommon, playing with the breeze, hit back with two unanswered scores to lead 0-02 to 0-01 after eight minutes.
Bundoran’s Jamie Brennan fired just wide of the post before Roscommon increase their lead to two points with a converted free.
A Carroll score and a Campbell point from a free levelled scores before Mulligan put Donegal in front again on the scoreline of 0-04 to 0-03.
However, Roscommon hit back with another equaliser before John Campbell had the last score of the half, putting the ball over the bar in the 29th minute to give Donegal a slender one point lead at half-time and all to play for in the second period.
