Mary Talbot in returning a score of 41pts was the winner of the La Bella Donna competition.
She had one of those days when everything went her way and her round included a birdie 2 on the 5th.
For her efforts she will enjoy an Italian Meal. Mary Daly was runner up with 39pts and has finally reduced her handicap.
For the 3rd week in a row Claire Paasch has featured among the prizewinners with a score of 39pts. Dorothy Woods playing off 12 had an impressive 38pts.

Jason Carr and Diarmuid McGettigan put together an excellent score of 42pts in breezy conditions to win the Sunday Four-Ball. In second place were Eamonn Duffy and Pat Brogan and they had one shot to spare over Matt Gallagher & Raymond Nolan.

Thursday Specials
The race for player of the year is really starting to heat up, last week’s leader Conor McNulty now finds himself in 3rd place, after losing his lead. Frank O’Donnell fought back well this week and is back on top of the leaderboard.
This week’s winner Martin Travers returned an excellent score of 37pts to move into 2nd place on the player of the Year leaderboard. For the second week running Shane Browne finished 2nd with 35pts on a break of tie from Peter McDonnell who also had 35pts. Our Chairman Aiden Cassidy is warming up well for his Chairman’s Day this week by claiming 4th Place with 34pts on break of tie.
Leo Doody won the 1st 9 with a very impressive score of 22pts and Daire Woods won the prize for past players with 34pts.
Mr Aiden Cassidy’s Chairman’s Day will be this Thursday, 31st July. If you can please try to play early as a large turnout is expected. There will be prizes for longest drive, nearest the pin and past players.
Phoenix Cup, players are reminded that 3rd round matches must be completed by the 6th August.
