Locals in Kincasslagh have expressed their fury after bags of rubbish were dumped along the side of the road of the seaside village.
Locals were left to clean up the mess, with those responsible leaving empty bottles and cans scattered across the road.
Bags of rubbish dumped at the side of the road, were then torn open and the waste inside those bags were dragged all over the road leaving a huge mess.
Unfortunately it would seem that this illegal act of dumping is not an isolated incident in the area.
Locals say that every year during the July 12th Bank Holiday Weekend an influx of tourists visiting the village for the weekend always leave a mess behind them.
One local that sent us in the pictures of the dumping told Donegal Daily that they blamed visitors for the rubbish.
“Every year it’s the same, they come down for the weekend and just dump their rubbish.
“They’ve no regard for anybody, they don’t care who has to clean it up, they just want rid of it and dump it anywhere they see fit.
“We welcome them coming down to our village, it’s great for the local economy but it leaves a bad taste in the mouth when you see the mess they leave and the disregard some of them have for locals.”
