On a busy weekend of events the main event was in Athlone where over 1000 triathletes took part in three separate events at another national series event.
Lisa Dalton made her breakthrough performance finishing third woman and first in her category.
This is a tremendous achievement in her first full year of competing.
There was also a good performance from Gavin Crawford finishing eighth overall.
Donagh Sullivan took part in the Baltimore beacon triathlon finishing 18th overall .
Our long distance swimmers took part in the 4 k lighthouse swim in Sligo on Sunday.
Results are not to hand but Karen Crawford, Mark McCollum, Paddy Bond and Keith McClean all competed well in choppy conditions.
Triona Mc Menamin as well as racing on Saturday qualified to represent Ireland in the World life saving championships in France in September.
The qualifying competition was held in Limerick on Friday.
