A man who advertised for a woman to spend a year with him on a Donegal island has been exposed as a pimp.

John McManus wanted a partner to become a castaway with him on Inishfree Island.
But today he has been exposed organising a brothel in Co Leitrim.
The Sunday World newspaper went undercover to catch McManus operating a brothel from an apartment in Carrick-On-Shannon.
He advertised his services on Escort Ireland, a website used by prostitutes who recently appeared before Letterkenny District Court.
A female reporter was told by McManus that he would take half of her money for servicing men.
In return he would supply her with an apartment and keep her safe.
After he advertised for a soul-mate to live on Inishfree, McManus was exposed for selling his sperm on line, earning him the nickname ‘The Sperminator.”
He told RTE that he planned to write a book and even make a movie about his life on the Donegal island with his possible future wife.
But he had to abandon his plans when not one applicant replied to his advert.
Now McManus faces being interviewed by Gardai after being exposed as a pimp and running prostitutes.
