Congratulations to Finesse gymnastics display team who returned home late last night after a marathon day of 15 hours with silvers medals from the Dublin Fleadh.
The Letterkenny-based Gymnastics Display Team 16 gymnasts aged 6-17 are from all over the county.
The Dublin Fleadh is Ireland’s premier gymnastics display event hosted in the sports complex U.C.D with the top teams from across Ireland and Britain taking part. This year saw 31 teams attending with a very strong attendance from Scottish teams.
Finesse were debuting their routine Charleston fusion a modern mix of dance and gymnastics skills. The gymnasts performed to the very best of their ability and executed an outstandingly and precise routine.
It is very rewarding for the team after all of their hard work and commitment that they have put in, hopefully they can keep the momentum with them when they travel to Italy next weekend to represent Ireland at the Festival del Sole.
Despite an unfortunate accident by another clubs gymnast towards the end of the event the official medal ceremony was unable to take place, just proving what dangerous sport gymnastics can be.
