DONEGAL’S Ladies couldn’t make it three-in-a-row for the county in gaelic football today, losing by six points to Armagh in Lisnaskea.
Davy McLaughlin’s young team – he only took over 10 weeks ago – did Donegal proud though, and were ahead of the Orchard County at the break in the Ulster Senior Ladies Championship semi-final.
But Armagh, on the back of an unbeaten run to the National Division 3 title, powered ahead at the end and had just too much for Donegal, winning on a scoreline of 1-15 to 1-09.
Armagh head to Omagh for the final on July 6 to take on Monaghan who saw off Cavan in a one-sided affair in the other semi-final 5-14 to 1-05.
Donegal now go into the All-Ireland qualifiers.
