John Quinn, from Daraghan Beag, was causing havoc in the early hours of March 1 last, roaring and shouting abuse at people.
Defence solicitor Kieran Dillon said the 22-year-old rarely drank and on this occasion had too much.
Quinn, he said, had gone out for the night “and didn’t do a very good job of it.”
Garda Sean McGarry said Quinn was likely do himself more harm than anyone else. His memory of events were limited.
Quinn admitted being drunk and disorderly and failing to follow the directions of a Garda. He was fined €200.
