Tir Chonaill Gaels Club Notes:

Reserves:

Our reserve team played two league games over the past week, and came away with maximum points after hard thought wins over Fulham Irish and Parnells respectively.

Last Thursday we played a much younger and athletic Fulham Irish and went in at the break trailing by five points. But the many years of experience and a few extra pounds on our side prevailed in the end with good performances from Hugh Cunningham, Fergus Mc Mahon and Barry McDonagh. Final score TCG 1-13 Fulham Irish 2-5.

On Saturday we defeated Parnells in a high scoring affair with our very own “Peter Pan” Maurice Carr finding the onion bag to separate the teams.

Best on the day were Niall Gilleece, David Cannon and Declan Alcorn;

TCG 2-16 Parnells 2-14.

Juniors:

The junior team travelled to Coventry last Saturday to play the hosts Roger Casements in the Ann Boyle memorial cup.

Although not travelling with a full squad the young guns along with a few minors (water Pistols) fought hard and went down in the end by four points.

Many thanks again to the Roger Casements club for the invite and superb hospitality.
