The senior and reserve footballers were in action v N Conaill in Connolly Park on Sunday and suffered disappointing defeats. The reserve side produced a battling performance but came up short, losing out 1-9 to 1-15. The game was level midway through the second half, but the Glenties side managed to pull away in the final quarter against the young Malin outfit. The seniors were on the wrong side of 2-9 to 0-17 scoreline despite holding a narrow one-point lead at the break. Malin lead up until the last 5 mins but the visitors pulled away in the closing stages.

U12 BOYS
The Under 12 age group had had a busy weekend when they travelled to Ardara to take part in the Mick Herron Memorial Tournament on Saturday. They faced the hosts and St Pats from Donabate, the youngsters produced two great performances and were unlucky to lose out on both occasions. The following day, they put Saturday’s disappointment behind them by defeating Muff by 2-9 to 1-5 in the opening game of the Gerry O Neill 15 aside competition. Next up is a visit to Carndonagh on Tuesday June 24th at 6.30.
UNDER 10 BOYS
The under 10s take on Muff in Ture on Tuesday evening and we would encourage as much support as possible for the youngsters.
DONEGAL PRIMARY SCHOOLS SKILLS COMPETITION
Well done to Liam Doherty who represented our club and the Gleneely National School in the Donegal Creameries Primary School Skills Competition in Ballybofey. Liam was competing with pupils from all over the county and did himself, his club and his school proud.
U10 BOYS
Our U10s had another successful evening last Tuesday after they defeated Burt. The team are due to travel to Urris next Tuesday evening for throw in at 6:30pm. All support welcome.
UNDER 12 GIRLS
On Wednesday of last week, our 12s played out a thrilling game of football v Muff with in Connolly Park, with the visitors edging the game by a single point, winning a high scoring encounter by 5-7 to 2-15. The fact our young girls managed to rack up an impressive score of 2-15, shows how much the young side has developed in the past few months. Their next outing is away to Moville on Wednesday.
UNDER 10 GIRLS
The Under 10 panel travelled into Derry to take on Steelstown at the weekend for a challenge match and had a worthwhile run out. Over the next few weeks, they take on Moville, Urris and Carndonagh.
CUL CAMP
The club Cul Camp will be held on the week commencing 14th of July. The 5-day camp is open to children between the age of 5 and 13. On the final day of the camp, members of the Donegal football panel will be in attendance. The annual camp is regularly one of biggest and best attended GAA Camps in the entire county.
CLUB SHOP
The Malin GAA club shop will be open in the clubhouse on Saturdays from 12-2 and on Sundays from 11-15 to 2-00. There are a large selection of club merchandise in stock, which can be purchased on the day. A list of other club gear, hoodies, rain jackets, shorts, socks, hats, scarves, kit bags etc are also available to order. The Malin half zipped training tops sponsored by Mark Monagle of 4Mark Construction are also available to order and are proving very popular. COUNTY SCENE
Best of luck to everyone involved in the Donegal Senior and Minor panels who take on Antrim in the Ulster Semi Final clash in Clones on Sunday. The minor game will throw in at 12-15 while the seniors are in action at 2.00
LOTTO
There was no winner of this week’s lotto jackpot of €750, sequence drawn was 7-6-3-4-2-1-5. €50 winner was Monica Walsh, Malin and the winner of the 20 euro sellers prize was Ronan Mc Laughlin. Next weeks jackpot is €800 and as always we would like to thank the local community for their continued support of our weekly lotto draw. Envelopes are just €2 or 3 for €5 euro and are available in most pubs and shops in the area or alternatively from our band of young eager sellers.
