DONEGAL’S senior ladies footballers got some great news today – their Ulster semi-final clash with Armagh has been fixed after the men and minors take on Antrim.
Donegal’s Senior Men play Antrim in Clones on Sunday week (June 22) at 2pm, just after the Men’s Minors (12.15pm).
The Ladies game has now been fixed for 5pm – in Lisnaskea…on the road home from Clones.
“We’re absolutely delighted with the venue and the time,” senior ladies manager Davy McLaughlin told Donegal Daily.
“We’re hoping that as many Donegal fans as possible come along and support us in our semi-final against Armagh.
“It’s on the road home from Clones, so it works out very well.
“I just hope now we will be celebrating a treble semi-final success for Donegal gaelic games next Sunday.”
McLaughlin has been putting his team through their paces in the build-up to the Championship clash with a series of challenge games.
Over in the men’s camp, Jim McGuinness is hoping to take his senior side through to an Ulster final.
“It would be great to have all three teams in Ulster finals,” said Davy.
“We’d be very grateful to every fan who comes along to Lisnaskea to get behind the girls in this campaign.”
